i think both these markers look pretty similar, i know the bodies dont and what not but there are some deffinat similarities. bothr spool valve opperated, both have the same shape barrel, both have very similar trigger frames, and both are 399.99.......discuss

well my understanding is that the Epiphany is merely an ion with a different body and some minor upgrades.

yeah i knew that, and the pmr is just a "economic" proto matrix. but i think they are basicly the same gun just with some slight operations and cosmetic diffrences.

Similar, sure. A lot of these new mid-range electros are nothing more than repackaged designs and parts from previous years' high-end markers. This practice of pushing technology "down" is common across many industries. The result is, of course, you can spend $400 today and get a marker with (arguably) performance on par with a $1000 marker from two years ago. But you guys already know this.
Barrels are one commodity part that the marker manufacturer will OEM from a 3rd party. For instance, J&J makes the stock barrels for several markers, like my AGD Tac-One.
