Regarding the topic discussed briefly during a break in the action at Canobie's Spring shoot, here are a couple of URLs I've found: www.lowellsun.com/front/ci_5773944www.tewksbury.mec.edu/TMHS/index.htmlI've not found anything of authority indicating there will be a restriction in what students can carry into TMHS (i.e., no back packs, etc.). I've also been watching Comcast's channel 10 (Gov't access) for quite a while and, again, have not seen any restrictions. Please post to this thread if you have definitive, authoritative communications that outline any "no back pack" or similar policy in reaction to the event of Friday, 4/27. [Date in the original post's subject has been corrected.]

Ok so apparently my mom called the school an they said no backpacks. however, i have so many books that i need my bag so i will probably bring it and go from there. My mom is really pissed about the whole situation and is going in tomorrow morning to talk to the cop at the school. i hope they find out who did this. all i know is if he is caught, the whole school is going to own this kid.

Just found these on-line articles stating the "no backpack" directive: www.lowellsun.com/local/ci_5779908"By Robert Mills, rmills@lowellsun.com Article Last Updated: 04/29/2007 06:41:22 AM EDT TEWKSBURY -- Students will need to leave their backpacks and athletic bags at home tomorrow morning, but classes will resume on schedule under the watchful eye of police after a small, chemically reactive bomb was found at the high school Friday." Second to last paragraph of, www.boston.com/news/local/articles/2007/04/29/device_at_school_called_harmless/"McGrath toured the school yesterday with Tewksbury police. Although no devices or threats were found, two Tewksbury police officers will be assigned to the school tomorrow. Students are requested not to bring backpacks or gym bags to school, McGrath said."
